There is no doubt that swimming with Whale Sharks – the world’s largest fish and one of the largest animals on earth is a magnificent adventure that most travelers are willing to experience!
The opportunity to swim with the majestic whale sharks in Oslob attracts thousands of travelers to Cebu Island every month. Known as the gentle giants of the sea, whale sharks can grow up to 40 feet long.
Here is everything you need to know from my experience about snorkelling or diving with these cold-blooded creatures.
Swimming with Whale Sharks is indeed an inspiring experience, however, it comes with certain rules aimed at protecting these magnificent creatures. It’s important to maintain a safe distance, avoid touching or feeding them, and never use flash photography. Just remember to approach these creatures with care to ensure both your safety and their well-being.
To swim with whale sharks in Oslob, you need to go through the registration process (which is a bit of a hassle). You may want to do it yourself or go with a pre-booked tour. If you are tempted by diving with Whale Sharks, this gives a completely different perspective from snorkeling but equally beautiful.
